This is an outstanding resource for beginning to advanced archers.

I implemented the physical form advocated in this book and the mental and spiritual concepts. The intent of the book is to teach you how to align your skeleton and joints in order to shoot your bow without strain or damage to your body. It is common for archers to sustain painful or even serious joint, ligament, muscle and tendon injuries, especially after years of practice.

Using the Alexander form your body is aligned in a natural pain free way. This form takes away the pain in the elbow and shoulders that plague so many.

The author relates his extensive experience as a professional classical guitarist to archery to teach us how to reduce performance anxiety and damage to the body from hours of practice. I have read many archery books and this one is the only one to offer the insight of offering our archery performance as a gift to the audience. This is a powerful concept for reducing the stress of competition or excessive self-criticism.

I was beginning to suffer pain in my left elbow but since I changed my stance in accordance with instructions in this book, I shoot pain free and practice is a pleasure.
