IS WHAT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR A PERSON TO ACCOMPLISH FOR YEARS POSSIBLE TO BE ACCOMPLISHED?

IS WHAT THAT SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE FOR A PERSON, JUST WAITING TO BE ACCOMPLISHED OR GROKKED BY THAT PERSON? Grokked is a word created by Robert Heinlein in his science fiction novel “Stranger in a Strange Land”, meaning one has understood/intuited a concept at the deepest level.

In most of my published ebooks, there is a section on my experience as a classical guitarist, when I first experienced effortless accuracy. I was never the same again. Let me explain what happened.

I had spent years trying to play without mistakes on the guitar by endlessly practicing, hoping miraculously I’d start playing without ever making a mistake ever again. Then one day I found this book in a university library. It was “New Pathways to Piano Technique” by Luigi Bonpensiere.

There was a sentence that said, “If you know where you’re going on the piano, and trust your hands not to miss, you can’t miss.”

I tried this on the guitar, and I nailed the note effortlessly. It was amazing. I never had to play the guitar again with fear!

There was a second sentence in the book. “If you miss the note, trust your hands even more, make even less effort to hit the note, and you’ll hit the mark.” I did this and nailed the note.

I NEVER HAD TO PLAY THE GUITAR WITH FEAR AGAIN.

I had spent years doing endless repetition, hoping that if I could just play a piece of music perfectly once, then magically I would play flawlessly from then on.

CAN’T BE DONE!

If you DON’T trust yourself on a musical instrument or in a sport to do the “impossible”, you will never do the impossible. You will spend your whole life striving for what you fervently have come to believe you can never have.

This is insane! It made me miserable. But I didn’t give myself permission to stop striving for what I couldn’t have.

NOW I KNOW I CAN HAVE WHAT I WANT, SO I GET TO HAVE WHAT WAS IMPOSSIBLE.

THE IMPOSSIBLE BECAME POSSIBLE FOR ME, AND I BECAME FREE OF LIVING MISERABLY IN THE IMPOSSIBLE!
