    Hello Ethan,
I am a viola da gamba player about to embark upon the joys of professional playing and I noticed the existence of your book on Alexander Technique for my instrument. This technique has always intrigued me, all the more so since a nasty upper back and neck injury three years and a half ago.
Going to your Amazon store site, however, I notice your e-books are only available for the Kindle. I do not own a reader, nor do I care to acquire one. Are your books available in any other formats?
As well, your book, based on the sample I read, seems geared toward the bass viol. Would you think it applicable to other sizes of viol as well (I play bass, tenor and alto)?
Thanks in advance for your reply.
    Richard

You can buy this ebook directly from me on my website ,www.ethankind.com, in pdf format. Click the pdf ebooks bar on the home page, and it is self explanatory. Also, Amazon has a free application for its Kindle books, that you can download into any computer and read all of its Kindle books.
Yes, this ebook is applicable to other size viols. This ebook is aimed at the viola da gamba, but the principles of playing these instruments between your legs and how to use the bow and the left hand are very very similar. Contact me with any questions, and I will answer all of them on other viols. The principles of good technique in the Alexander Technique apply to all instruments.
