About ten years ago I was doing psychotherapy with a Radix practitioner, and I had just had a very very profound insight in the session.

I said something, and the therapist quickly said do not minimize how profound this insight is. It is transformative, but if you minimize how profound this insight is, you will totally block the transformative effect of the insight

I’ve since come to realize it is an ego protection technique of minimizing deep insights, that prove that the truth WON’T make you free.

This minimizing the transformative value of an insight, an aha experience, can be incredibly well hidden from a person.

Let’s say in a psychotherapeutic session, or an Alexander Technique session or in a meditation session, you have a huge aha experience. You really feel you’ve experienced an insight that will permanently transform your life, then a few days later it hasn’t.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE IS SUBCONSCIOUSLY MINIMIZE THE LASTING EFFECT OF THE INSIGHT, AND YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW WHAT YOU’VE DONE.

What you have done is below consciousness disempowered the insight, and you’re left feeling and thinking the same as you always have.

It is very important here to see when this is happening or has happened, and to realize the insight CAN BE permanently healing, and that your ego, the person you have been your whole life, is sneakily, below consciousness, making sure you don’t change in a radical way, even if it’s for the better.

The person you have been, even if you’re a mess, will do everything it can to prevent you from existing at a higher level of awareness.

In fact your ego will say that since the insight didn’t change anything, then no aha experience can have a permanent effect on how you live, think, experience your life.

So, the question is, can a profoundly deep insight about who you are create a permanent loving change in your life?

YES! What would have to happen?

DO NOT MINIMIZE THE LASTING PERMANENT POWER OF A TRANSFORMATIVE INSIGHT.

How do you do that?

If you’ve lived a life of constant disappointments, that every time you have an aha experience it never lasts, then you have come to BELIEVE this.

In fact right after a profound insight, consciously or unconsciously, you say to yourself, “THIS WON’T LAST”.

Guess what, it won’t.

Your ego has proven to you that it is the most powerful part of you, so why even make an attempt to evolve psychologically, emotionally, spiritually, and/or physically?

(An aside here: The physical evolution is the result of valid Alexander Technique instruction.)

IF YOU STAND UP TO THAT PART OF YOURSELF THAT MINIMIZES EVERY DEEP INSIGHT, NOW THAT YOU’RE CONSCIOUS OF WHAT YOU’VE BEEN DOING, THEN YOU HAVE A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO TAKE THE LID OFF OF YOUR JOY PERMANENTLY.
